For the Love of the Outdoors

Many people have had the experience of hiring a contractor who does acceptable work but never really seemed to care: about the property, about the outcome, or about the person they were doing it for.

That’s not why we do this. We genuinely love the plants, the design, and the way a thoughtfully built outdoor space changes how someone experiences their own home. Pete

I grew up in Morristown and studied horticulture at Rutgers University’s Cook College. After decades working in the landscape industry, I co-own Limbach’s with my wife Emily. I’m in the field every day, leading our crews and making sure every project meets the standard our clients expect. For me, there’s nothing better than seeing a property come together exactly the way it was envisioned.

Emily

I grew up in Madison and have always had a deep love of plants and the outdoors. As a metalsmith and jeweler by trade, I bring a maker’s eye for detail and composition to everything I do at Limbach’s. I co-own the company with my husband Pete and run the office side of the business, keeping communication clear, clients informed, and everything running the way it should. Building relationships with our clients is one of my favorite parts of the job.

Tim

With over three decades in the landscape and garden design industry, I’ve worked from garden centers to leading landscape firms, leaving my mark through style, structure, and meticulous attention to detail. My work has ranged from elegant outdoor spaces to custom container designs. I’m passionate about this ever-evolving field – there’s always something new to learn, and it’s never, ever boring.

Analia

I’m an agronomist with over twenty years of experience in organic horticulture and landscape maintenance. My approach is rooted in caring for landscapes in a way that keeps them healthy, balanced, and naturally beautiful, using sustainable practices that support long-term growth and resilience. I take pride in the details and find real joy in seeing how consistent, thoughtful care can enhance each property and make a lasting difference over time.

Bosco

I’ve been working in landscaping and hardscaping for the past 14 years, building a strong foundation in both the technical and creative sides of the trade. I take pride in being meticulous with every project, whether I’m constructing walls and patios or refining the details that bring an outdoor space together. I genuinely enjoy planting and transforming properties, and I’m passionate about creating landscapes that are both functional and truly beautiful.

I am a lifelong local bringing deep understanding of the community and its unique character to my work at Limbach’s Landscaping. After 25 years of building my career in New York, gaining experience in client service, office management, and design, I’m grateful to be back in the community I know and love. As Office Manager, I oversee daily operations and serve as a main point of contact, focused on creating a seamless, personalized experience for every client.

Our History

Limbach’s Landscaping has been part of the Northern New Jersey landscape since 1976, building a reputation over decades as one of Morris County’s most trusted design and build firms. What started as a commitment to quality plant material, attentive service, and beautifully crafted outdoor spaces became the foundation everything here is still built on.

In 2015, Pete and Emily Houghton purchased Limbach’s and brought a new energy to that same foundation. Pete’s deep roots in Morristown and his horticultural training at Rutgers, combined with Emily’s eye for beauty and her background as a maker and designer of custom jewelry, gave the company something it had always embodied but could now articulate more clearly: a genuine love of the outdoors and a belief that the spaces surrounding a home matter just as much as the home itself.
